The episode starts with the Kothari family discussing the wedding preparations for Kanika and Karthik’s wedding.
Kanika returns home with tears in her eyes. The Kothari family asks her what happened. Kanika reveals that Karthik married Deepa right in front of her. She says that Karthik applied sindoor in Deepa’s hairline before her eyes. The Kothari family is shocked and unable to believe it.
Deepa looks at her reflection in the swimming pool and notices the sindoor in her hairline.
Karthik tells Jyoti that she will stay there from now on. Jyoti asks Karthik where he will stay. Karthik replies that he will stay with her. Jyoti says that now Bhanu will not be able to harm them. Karthik agrees.
Bhagyashree tells Kanika that she might be mistaken. Kanika asks her not to try to comfort her. She blames Bhagyashree for Deepa stealing Karthik from her, saying she had warned her many times that Deepa was dangerous, but Bhagyashree never believed her. Kanika tells the Kothari family that their blind faith in Deepa is responsible for what happened.
Chitralekha criticizes Bhagyashree and thinks that Deepa and Karthik have ruined all her plans in a moment.
Kailashnath tells Bhagyashree that Deepa has betrayed them. He says that he allowed her into the house and gave her the status of a daughter, yet she betrayed them. Mahindra says that Deepa alone is not responsible and that Karthik is equally responsible for what happened. Chitralekha questions Kailashnath about his reaction. Kailashnath says that Karthik has hurt everyone’s feelings and comments on it.
Vijayanti arrives at Karthik’s house and sees the sindoor in Deepa’s hairline. She is shocked. Deepa complains to Vijayanti that she wanted to leave, but fate played a cruel joke on her.
Jyoti tells Vijayanti that Karthik has become her father. Vijayanti tells Karthik that he has come into Deepa’s life like a blessing. She falls at Karthik’s feet and thanks him for accepting Deepa as his wife. She says she was always worried about Deepa. Karthik clarifies that he married Deepa only for Jyoti, so that Jyoti would have a father’s name.
The Kothari family continues discussing Deepa’s betrayal. Kailashnath vows to take revenge on Karthik and his family, as they are the reason Kanika is in tears.
Karthik clarifies to Deepa that he married her only for Jyoti. Deepa asks him about her own wishes. She questions whether she has no right to decide whom she will marry. Deepa says that when she looks at herself in the mirror, she will see only a helpless woman who has no right to choose her own life.
Ranjit complains to Kanchan about Karthik marrying Deepa. He says that they will now face the consequences of his actions, as the Kothari family will surely seek revenge.
