The episode starts with Kashi asking Bhavani why Radhabai does aarti while welcoming Balaji. Bhavani explains because they are soldiers. A soldier puts his life in danger thus their family shows gratitude to God by doing aarti every time they return back safely. They are not moneylenders like them. Balaji gets disappointed and sits upset. Radhabai asks him why the latter didn’t give her the opportunity to do his aarti for his achievement. Balaji says he didn’t achieve anything. He is the most proficient soldier as well as knows the rules better than anyone but he didn’t become the Peshwa. Radhabai tells him not to lose hope. But he should be patient. Balaji says he is tired of being patient. Radhabai calms him down and says atleast she has the right to celebrate his victory.
Being the state commander is not a small thing. She takes him to show the children’s skills. Everyone enjoys watching that. Bajirao also shows his skills which impresses Balaji. Balaji says Baji can make the impossible thing to possible. Bajirao asks for his permission to go to war if he feels he is ready. Balaji gets into thinking and Radhabai says Baji has gone mad. Bajirao replies he can’t wait to fight for his people of the state. Balaji fulfills Bajirao’s wish and Radhabai accepts his decision with heavy heart. Radhabai blesses Bajirao saying he will win every battle. She asks Kashi did she like Bajirao’s skills. Kashi says it was good but there are other soldiers too why Bajirao has to go to war. Bajirao taunts her saying he wants to protect his people, she won’t understand this who fights for a silly pot.
Shiu tells Radhabai that children ask for many things playfully but that doesn’t mean parents should allow them to do that. Radhabai says they have taken oath to sacrifice their lives for state and they can give anything for that and their son is the most precious of them. One soldier informs Balaji that Queen’s soldiers have attacked them. Balaji prepares to go to war but Bajirao insists he will also accompany him. Balaji stops him saying this is night time and Queen’s soldiers are really proficient, he can’t take risk by taking Baji with him. Bajirao says he will have to face such kind of situations in future. So he is not afraid. Balaji permits him which shocks Radhabai and others.
Radhabai goes to pray for Baji and gets emotional. She says did she take wrong decision by allowing Baji to go to war at this age. Shiu and Bhavani tell her that they can understand her worries but she should not have allowed Bajirao to go to war. She should talk to Balaji about it. Radhabai says a mother of a soldier can cry for her warrior son but can’t stop him from going to war. It’s their duty to save their state. Kashi looks sad and she notices Bajirao with his father. Balaji prepares Bajirao for war and makes him wear the warrior clothes. He tells him to stay strong and his only determination will be winning the war. Bajirao nods yes.
Radhabai says they are looking good together in this get up. She boosts Bajirao’s morale and says he will not be scared of death as his mother will wait for his come back. Radhabai does their aarti before leave for war. Baji takes her blessings. Kashi feels sad and recalls Bhavani’s words that a soldier’s family always lives in fear. Radhabai protects the aarti flame and Bajirao leaves with his father.
