Sony SAB is all set to launch its much-awaited family drama Itti Si Khushi on 18th August at 9:00 PM, replacing the popular show Pushpa Impossible. With a compelling storyline, strong emotional core, and a powerful cast led by Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Varun Badola, and Rajat Verma, the show is already creating a buzz among television fans.
The Story So Far:
At the centre of Itti Si Khushi is Anvita, a young woman who has been the pillar of strength for her dysfunctional family ever since her mother left them. With a drunken and irresponsible father and younger siblings to care for, Anvita has taken on the roles of mother, caretaker, and breadwinner. Her life is a daily battle, balancing work and home, yet she faces it all with silent determination.
The show will initially focus on Anvita’s struggles — her quiet sacrifices, emotional strength, and unwavering commitment to her family. But things take a dramatic turn when, in a shocking twist, her father (played by Varun Badola) sells the family house, threatening the only safe space Anvita has built for her siblings. How Anvita fights to protect her home forms a crucial part of the emotional narrative.
Romance with a Twist:
While Anvita’s journey is defined by hardship, the show also promises a heartfelt romantic track. A mysterious new male lead, played by Rajat Verma, will enter Anvita’s life with genuine intentions of friendship. Initially wary and focused solely on her responsibilities, Anvita misunderstands his presence. But as time passes, a beautiful bond starts to form between the two. From strangers to friends and eventually to lovers — their evolving relationship is expected to add a refreshing emotional depth to the show.
Adding to the story, there will be an entry of Anvita’s childhood friend too for a dramatic twist.
