By Gossips Tv : Sony SAB is set to launch its highly anticipated family drama Itti Si Khushi on 18th August, airing at 9:30 PM, taking over the time slot of Wagle Ki Duniya. Headlined by the talented Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Rajat Verma, the show promises a heartfelt and emotionally layered narrative that’s gritty, relatable, and deeply human.
Itti Si Khushi follows the story of Anvita, a 21-year-old girl burdened with adult responsibilities after being abandoned by her mother. With a father battling alcoholism and six younger siblings to care for, Anvita emerges as the emotional backbone of her crumbling household. Despite adversity, she holds the family together, sacrificing her own dreams in the process.
The show also stars Rajat Verma as Anvita’s love interest Virat, and Varun Badola marking his television comeback as Suhas, the dysfunctional patriarch. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the series offers a raw yet tender portrayal of everyday struggles, love, and resilience.
Produced by Rose Audio Visuals, the show is the official Indian adaptation of the British cult hit Shameless starring Emmy Rossum, developed by Paul Abbott.
