By Anil Merani| Priyal Mahajan has denied offers to play the lead in post leap Star Plus show Imlie. There was buzz that this lead of Molki might step in the shoes of female lead Chakraborty, who wants to quit imlie, not wishing to become a mother on screen.
Interestingly, even original Imlie lead Sumbul Touqeer had quit this Gul Khan show along with replacement male Fahmaan Khan, not wanting to be part of the first generation leap. Original male lead Gashmeer Mahajani had quit due to unknown reasons.
Priyal says she is on the lookout for an exciting project.
However, our source insists Priyal is in the race to play the Imlie lead and has even given the mock test.
A little while back, other reports suggested that Star might yank Imlie off-air due to low trp (currently 0.6), but then other sources quipped that the channel might give the show one more chance via yet another generation leap.
